About This Game PIXELMAN is a retro styled action-filled, high-score chaser, where you control the title character in his mission to rescue the citizens of Pixville from the evil Baron Von Pixel and his contraptions.In PIXELMAN you need to keep your combos going to be able to make it into the online leaderboards!PIXELMAN's gameplay harkens back to a time where every token counted, as was the case with games such as Donkey Kong, Galaga, Moon Patrol and others from the golden era of arcades. You have simple controls and goals, and the difference between being a regular Joe or the king of the arcade is your ability to completely master them.The citizens of Pixville are counting on you!How to PlayControlling PIXELMAN is very simple: you press and hold to go up, release to go down, and you can also use the pad to move faster (but with less accuracy!) Your goal is to rescue the citizens (humans and their pets!) to keep your heroic energy up, and also avoid crashing into buildings, traffic, and Von Pixel’s weapons and traps. If you don’t rescue anyone for a while, your heroic energy will go down; and if it reaches zero, you´ll lose your powers and fall! XBox 360 Controllers, Mouse and Keyboards supported (We truly recommend playing with a controller).CombosEvery time you rescue a Pixelian, your combo meter will go up. Once you’ve rescued 5 in a row, your score will start to multiply! BUT, if you fail to rescue a single soul, you meter will deplete, and you’ll have to start all over again. Keep the combos going for maximum high-scorage!Power UpsFrom time to time, you’ll come across a shield. If you grab it, you’ll activate the power up mode! In this mode, your score and combo meter multiply, your speed goes up, and you can’t get hurt! The bad thing is, it only lasts for one hit, so you better watch out!Grab an atom and get the power to shoot fireballs! You can accumulate up to 4, if you do, you'll get a super shot! That super shot can destroy everything in its path and do extra damage to the bosses!PIXELMANHe’s Pixville’s senior superhero, his superpowers are flying and untying knots really fast. Pixelman is a decent offering in the endless flyer genre, with cute graphics and retro music, but would it really hurt to let people pick a stage instead of forcing them to start all over again?EDIT: Ok, so you can pick the second and third stage in endless mode when unlocked. However, i still can't recommend this to a general audience. I think it's a bit too expensive, most people will only play this once or twice and the tutorial is obnoxious. Worthy of a couple of bucks. so i picked up this game for 1.39$ sale and its not the greatest game i recomend geometry dash but PIXELMAN is a okay game.. It's flappy bird but you are PIXELMAN, picking up power-ups, dodging stuff and saving people to recover your power.You also shoot down bad guys every now and then.I mean I looked at it at a first glance and didn't give it much thought because of its looks,but it's ok. We're putting the finishing touches in the hard endless level, IN SPAAAACE! : DWe can consistently score over 100k points in Endless City, but in Space? Making it to 10k feels like the end of Rocky (all of them), you have to focus and fight for every single point.It's hard as hell is what I'm saying!We're adjusting some details to release it in the coming weeks! PIXELMAN now runs at 60FPS!: Good news everybody!Finally after a few unforeseen issues we released the 60fps update!PIXELMAN now plays super smooth on almost every computer we've tested it on, and, for the people with on-board videocards or just plain old computers, we added a few graphic options so they can play it anyways!If the game runs slow at 60fps, go to options and first try to run it on a window instead of full screen (you can also use alt+enter to toggle FS & Window modes on the fly). If that doesn't work, disable V-Sync, aaaaand if that doesn't work either, you can disable the High Quality mode, if you do that the game will revert back to 30fps mode.We've noticed that laptops with Nvidia graphics cards tend to default to the on-board Intel card for PIXELMAN, so if you have a laptop with a Nvidia graphics card and the game runs slow for you, make sure you change the default card for PIXELMAN (right click on pixelman(dot)exe/run with graphics processor/change default...).Also! We changed the endless level names from easy/med/hard to countryside/city/space (yes, the hard level will be in space) because most players thought that the game only had one level.
